Pricing and fees

You pay the price the seller set, plus a 6% service fee. The fee is added at checkout as its own line, so you see it before you pay.

• Service fee: 6% of the order price.
• Sales tax: calculated by Stripe at checkout from your billing address, where tax applies. It is added on top of the price and the fee.
• Your payment is held by Armour Studios, not sent to the seller, until the order is complete. See when money moves.
• If a refund is approved, the full amount you were charged is returned, including the service fee. See refunds and disputes.

Listing a service is free. When an order completes, Armour Studios keeps a commission from the order price and you receive the rest. The buyer's service fee is paid by the buyer and does not come out of your share.

• The rates in the last 3 rows are earned by delivering, not bought. You need both the number of completed orders and the on-time rate. The on-time rate is the share of your deliveries with a deadline that arrived by it.
• You pay the lowest rate you qualify for. A membership and a delivery record do not add together: an Elite member pays 5%, and a seller with no membership can reach 7% on their record alone.
• The rate is fixed on each order when the buyer checks out. A later change to your membership or record does not change orders already paid for.
• The 5% membership rate applies only while the membership is active. If it lapses or is cancelled, new orders use the standard rate or your merit rate.

A $100.00 order from a seller on the standard rate:

The same order pays a seller $95.00 on Armoured Elite or Armoured Carriage, and $91.00, $92.00, $93.00 at the Proven, Trusted, Elite delivery merit rates. Tax is collected by Stripe and is not part of either side's share.

   The payment is held by Armour Studios. The seller cannot be paid from it yet.

   The seller delivers

   The buyer approves the delivery, or asks for a revision if the order includes one.

3. 3
   The order completes

   When the buyer approves, or automatically 3 days after delivery if the buyer has not approved, asked for a revision or opened a dispute.

4. 4
   The seller is paid

   The seller's share is sent to their own Stripe account when the order completes. Stripe then pays it to their bank on that account's payout schedule.

Sellers must finish setting up their Stripe account before a buyer can check out with them. Stripe decides when funds in a seller's Stripe account become available and when they reach the bank; Armour Studios does not control that schedule.

Memberships are optional monthly subscriptions. The prices below are per month. What each plan includes is listed on the memberships page.

Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, as set out in the Terms of Service.

Courses are not open yet. These are the fees that will apply.

• The buyer pays the course price plus the same 6% service fee, plus any tax.
• The creator pays a commission of 10%, or 5% with an active Armoured Elite or Armoured Carriage membership. Merit rates do not apply to courses.
• Course payments are not held in escrow. The creator's share is sent to their Stripe account when the course is bought, and a creator must finish Stripe setup before a paid course can be sold.
