Trust and safety
How payments are protected, what happens when an order goes wrong, and what is not allowed on Armour Studios.
Escrow
When you order a service, you pay at checkout and Armour Studios holds the money. The seller is not paid until the order is complete. An order completes when you approve the delivery, or automatically 3 days after delivery if you have not approved it, asked for a revision or opened a dispute.
Escrow only covers payments made through Armour Studios checkout. Money sent any other way is not held, and we cannot get it back for you. Fees are set out on Pricing and fees.
Delivery and revisions
- The number of revisions is part of what you buy. It is recorded on your order at checkout, so the seller cannot reduce it afterwards by editing the listing.
- After a delivery you can approve it or ask for a revision, up to the number your order includes. A revision reopens the order and gives the seller at least 3 days to deliver again.
- If the delivery deadline passes and the seller has not delivered or asked you for more time, the order becomes eligible for a refund and both of you are told.
Refunds and disputes
If something goes wrong, request a refund from the order page while the order is in progress, delivered or overdue. Explain what happened and attach evidence if you have it. You can file one refund request per order.
- Filing a request puts the order on hold. It will not complete automatically and the seller is not paid while the request is open.
- Our team reviews the request, the order and its messages, and decides.
- If the refund is approved, you get back the full amount you were charged, including the service fee. If it is declined, the order goes back to where it was before the request.
- If a request has not been decided within 14 days, it is closed without a refund and the order returns to where it was before the request.
Once an order is complete the seller has been paid, so a refund request is no longer available from the order page. If you think a decision was wrong, or your order is already complete, open a support ticket.
Reporting
You can report a profile, a service, a post, an order or a message using the Report option next to it. Reports go to our team, not to the person you reported. You can choose a reason and attach screenshots:
- Spam or scam
- Harassment or abuse
- Inappropriate content
- Impersonation
- Asking to pay off-platform
- Something else
Please report anyone who asks you to pay or talk outside Armour Studios. That is the most common way people lose money on marketplaces.
Removals and bans
We can remove a listing that breaks these rules, and we can ban an account. A banned seller's services cannot be bought. What we do depends on what happened and whether it has happened before.
Keep payment and communication on the platform
Pay through checkout and keep the conversation in the order thread. Escrow, revisions and disputes only work for orders paid on Armour Studios, and our team can only review messages that were sent here. Asking for or offering payment outside the platform is not allowed.
Who can use Armour Studios
- You must be 18 or older to create an account, buy or sell. You confirm this when you sign up.
- Sellers are paid through Stripe and must complete Stripe's identity and payout verification before buyers can check out with them.
